2021 is bringing us a lot of amazing books. There’s no way to talk about all of them, but today I want to discuss a 21 of the books I’m dying to read. In order to include most of my favorites, I’ve broken up my list into 4 parts:
New Series – These are the first books in a completely new series
Standalones – These books are not continuing a series, or starting a new one
Sequels – These are sequels and companions to previously published books
Untitled – These are books that don’t have titles (or in most cases, confirmed release dates) yet
I also included lists of more releases for each category, because there are just too many good books coming out.
If you want to see all of the 2021 releases on my radar, I keep a spreadsheet documenting them! I update it fairly regularly, so click here to check it out!!
Note: The spreadsheet is mainly for my personal use. Columns F-I are for my own cataloguing, so they may not be that useful for you. However, the the rest of the sheet hopefully will be!
When Yadriel summons a ghost, he doesn’t expect it to be the school’s resident bad-boy, Julian. Julian wants to find out what happened before he goes, and Yadriel agrees to help. But the more time they spend together, the less Yadriel wants Julian to go.
The sequel to From Blood and Ash, A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire picks up where the first book left off. I can’t say too much here without spoiling book one, but if you haven’t already started this series, you need to.
Overall: 2.5/5 Stars Characters: 2/5 Setting: 2/5 Writing: 3/5 Plot and Themes: 3/5 Awesomeness Factor: 2/5 Review in a Nutshell: This was… disappointing. Maybe my hopes were too high, maybe I wanted too much from it, but all I know is that I really wish it was better.
“If you wish to stand next to the first, by all means. You’re the one who’ll be burned.”
The Betrothed follows Hollis, a girl who has caught the eye of the king. Everything seems to be going well, as it looks like King Jameson will soon propose, but life as a queen is not what Hollis expected. Or wanted. After meeting a stranger who she finds herself drawn to, she must decide what she wants for her future.
“Not only would he make you a queen… he would make you a legend.”
Since Victorious has hit Netflix, everyone has been binging it. Myself included. And what have I learned from it? Well, it was definitely a little more problematic than I remembered, but damn, that soundtrack is full of bops.
And because of that, I’ve had the music stuck in my head in a loop for the past couple of weeks. So, I thought, why not capitalize on it and share my 10 favorite Victorious songs, and recommend a book to go with each them!!
I will admit, some of these were a lot easier than others, but, if you’re looking for something to read once you’ve finished your Victorious marathon, I’ve got a few recommendations for you. Also, be sure to read to the end because I’ve linked to a spotify playlist of all of these songs for you to listen to!!
October is probably my favorite month of the year. The weather is cooler but not cold, the leaves are changing, everything is spooky,
and a whole bunch of good books are being released.
We have a lot of good books coming out this month. Seriously. It’s overwhelming. The scariest thing this Halloween is the size of my TBR. That said, I was able to narrow it down to a few of my absolutely most anticipated that you have to pick up this month!
