This all began on tumblr. I was looking for some posts about a specific book series, only to realize that no one else seems to be talking about it. So, I decided that if that fandom doesn’t exist, I will create it myself.
Thats when this slideshow was born. I posted it to tumblr, and just prayed that people would see how great these books are and join the fandom with me.
I’ve included the slideshow down below, but I’ll go into more detail after on why these books were chosen, as well as mention a few other books that deserve more hype.
Read more for even more book recommendations, plus a transcript of the slideshow!

Review in a Nutshell: When She Reigns delivers on its promises of dragons, but at the cost of some of its other aspects. That said, I still enjoyed it.
“Hate cannot abide where many stand in love.”
(This exact line is said a million times. I think I’ll be saying it in my sleep)

When She Reigns is the third and final book in the Fallen Isles trilogy. It takes place shortly after the devastating ending of As She Ascends, and follows Mira and her friends as she tries to find a way to save her people and her home.
“Love survives death.”
I had a busy month is August, but despite that, I managed to read 10 books! I focused a lot on the Disney-A-Thon in August, (I even did some of my reading is Disney World!), so while I’ll talk about some of my favorites now, I’ll be posting a full Disney-A-Thon wrap up soon!
I started August off strong, but I definitely fell behind on my goals. That said, I’m still happy to have read 10 books. Hopefully I’ll keep the momentum going in September!

Fall is here and I’m only a little bitter about it. Okay who am I kidding, I’m very bitter. While fall may be my favorite season, I feel like summer went by way too fast!
That said, I’m not bitter about the books coming out this month! A couple of these books I’m about to talk about have become all-time favorites of mine, and I can’t wait for everyone else to read them!
Now, there are a lot of September releases. Seriously. A lot. So much that I have to split up this list into sections. First, we have my top 7 YA standalones and series starters, but I’ve also included a list of 6 sequels as well as 2 non-YA releases I’m excited for.

For everyone who knows there was enough room for Leonardo DiCaprio on that door.
And for England. We’re really sorry for what we’re about to do to your history.”

My Lady Jane is a fun, happy retelling of the story of Lady Jane Grey. You might wonder how that’s possible, considering Jane Grey was queen for only nine days before she was beheaded, so how can her story be happy? That, you’ll have to find out for yourself.
