October TBR and September Wrap Up

I can’t believe it’s actually October. We’re even halfway through the month. As much as I want 2020 to be over, wow is this second half going by quick.

Even though we’re halfway through the month, I wanted to share with you my TBR, and go over what I read in September and August!

September Wrap Up

I got hit pretty hard with a reading slump in August, and it carried through September as well. Despite that, I did read some pretty good books. Here are all of the books I read last month:

Fable (Fable #1) by Adrienne Young

Rating: 3.5 Stars (Review)
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It has pirates and adventure, but it just didn’t live up to all my hopes.

One Way or Another by Kara McDowell

Rating: 4.5 Stars

I loved this book. It was so cute and fun, and I really loved the mental health rep!! It was such a fun read.

A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire (Blood & Ash #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Rating: 5 Stars
I’m hoping to have a full review coming for this soon. This book was exactly what I wanted it to be, and more. Technically not much happens in it, but I was addicted. And that ending?! How am I supposed to wait until April for book 3?!

Well Played (Well Met #2) by Jen DeLuca

Rating: 3.75 Stars (Review)
I really did like this book, it just didn’t quite live up to my hopes after Well Met (but I think that’s partially because of how obsessed I was with Well Met). I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a cute Ren Faire romance!

The Silvered Serpents (The Gilded Wolves #2) by Roshani Chokshi

Rating: 5 Stars (Review)
I’m officially obsessed with this series. Roshani Chokshi is such a talented writer. I’m in love with this book and these characters and can’t wait until book 3!

Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

Rating: 4.5 Stars
This book was amazing. The writing was gorgeous, the plot was addictive- it was exactly what I wanted it to be. Hopefully I’ll be having a full review out soon- but definitely pick this up if you haven’t already.

Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas

Rating: 2 Stars (Review)
This book disappointed me. I really wanted to like it, but I wasn’t a fan of either protagonist, and overall it left me feeling bored.

Kissing the Coronavirus by M. J. Edwards

Rating: Either 1 or 5 stars I honestly don’t know (Review)
This isn’t a favorite. I just had to remind everyone that I actually read this, and that my review got shared in the New York Post and Daily Mail. This is what my life has become. Someone please kill me.

There are a lot of books I want to get through, but I know I won’t be able to do it all. Here are the few I think might be possible:
