I’m so excited today to be doing the Zumra book tag, created by the amazing Star Is All Booked Up! Thank you so much to Star for creating this tag, and for tagging me in it!!
If you don’t know, We Hunt the Flame is one of my all-time favorite books. Seriously, I love it more than life. If you haven’t read it yet, PLEASE DO!! It’s amazing and life changing and will destroy you.
But enough ranting about my never ending love of this book- let’s get to the tag!

[Related: We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal – I’ll Never Recover (Review)]

Zafira Bint Iskandar: An Emotionally driven character (or book)

Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie
Both Ailesse and Bastien can be driven by their emotions a little too much. Even Sabine can be as well, but she’s probably the most rational character in the group.
Nasir Ghameq: angsty boy A character that’s conflicted/at war with themselves

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
Inan is the most angsty boy and I love it. I wont go into details (because, spoilers) but his POV was so interesting to read, and very full of angst.
Kifah Darwish: A book with lots of food in it (or another foodie character)

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord
All of the baking in this book has me feeling hungry. I loved the different creations Pepper makes thoughout the book, and it had me wanting to try and make some myself (which would definitely be a bad idea- I would probably accidentally burn my house down).
Benyamin Haadi: A book with a “Mom” character (or a book with wisdom you didn’t seek)

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
Laila is the mom friend we all need in our lives. I love her so much. The scenes with her and Zofia are so heartwarming!
Altair Al-Badawi: A Secretive character (or a book that kept you guessing)

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Khalid has a lot of secrets in this book and the most fun part was unraveling them all piece by piece. I know I talk about this book a lot on my booktok, but its because you NEED to read it!!
Deen Ra’ad: A simp A pure cinnamon roll

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
Ansel deserves the world, he is the best part of this series. I once ranted to my sister in an hour long car ride about how much I love this character and how amazing he is.
Yasmine Ra’ad: A Character you wouldn’t want on your bad side

A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Casteel is a force to be reckoned with. I love him so much, but he can definitely be terrifying when he wants to be.
Lana bint Iskandar: A character that has to grow up too quickly

Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan
90% of YA protagonists grew up to quickly, but I want to talk about Malachiasz. His backstory is so tragic and really shaped him as a character. Someone please give him a hug, he needs it.

Now it’s your turn-
what’s one character you don’t want on your bad side?
