September Favorites + My October TBR!

September Favorites + October TBR

September was a rough month. The semester started, I picked up more work hours, and I was trying to make two new cosplays for NYCC. That said, I still reached my quota of 10 books! (Barely, but it counts).

Hopefully, things will calm down a little now that the convention is over and the semester is in full swing. Although I did just get cast in a play, so maybe more free time isn’t exactly a realistic goal?

Either way, I wanted to talk about some of my favorite books that helped me survive the insanity that was September, and some of the books I plan to get to this month.

Read more to see my favorite reads of last month, and the books I’m hoping to love in October!

September Favorites

There are 3 books I read in September that I absolutely loved:

Crier’s War (Crier’s War #1) by Nina Varela

Rating: 5 Stars (Review)

This is the f/f enemies to lovers fantasy of my dreams. Seriously. It was such a fun and interesting read, and I can’t wait to see where Nina Varela takes the series!

Capturing the Devil (Stalking Jack the Ripper #4) by Kerri Maniscalco

Rating: 5 Stars (Review)

I was not mentally prepared for this emotional roller coaster ride. And I was certainly not prepared for this series to end. Audrey Rose and Thomas are one of my favorite fictional pairs, and I’ll miss joining them on their adventures.

The Beautiful (The Beautiful #1) by Renee Ahdieh

Rating: 5 Stars (Review)

This book blew me away. I adored it, and it put me in the worst slump once I finished. Renee Ahdieh absolutely killed me with that ending, and I’m dying to get my hands on the sequel!! This book is stunning, and if you’re a fan of atmospheric historical romance with a hint of paranormal mystery, you need to pick this up.

October TBR

I only had to roll over one book from my September TBR, so I consider that a success! And, I’m currently reading that book, so I’m hoping to have it done soon! Otherwise, I’m hoping to get through some of my fall 2019 ARCs this month, and catch up on a series I loved, but fell behind in.
