Disney-A-Thon Wrap Up!

Disney-A-Thon Wrap Up (caitsbooks.com)

Disney is kinda my brand (outside of books, that is). I’m known at work as the girl who always wears Disney dresses, I cosplay as Disney Princesses, I’m a Disney Vacation Club Member and I visit Disney World almost every year, and my house was literally designed after Disney.

Needless to say, I was excited to do this Disney-A-Thon.

Especially because I was going to Disney this month.

However, I’m awful at sticking to TBRs, and readathons scare me, so I knew this would definitely be a challenge. Not to mention, I set up pretty high goals for myself for the month.

If you haven’t seen my Disney-A-Thon TBR, here’s a link to catch up!

Read more to see if I actually managed to reach those goals, or if I crumbled under pressure!

First, let’s talk about the Team Tangled Challenges

The Successes:

The Failures

42036538

Flynn Rider: A Dark/Mysterious Book

What I Planned: Gideon the Ninth (The Ninth House #1) by Tamsin Muir (ARC)

36571337

The Snuggly Duckling Crew: A Book With A Dreamy Cover

What I Planned: Into the Crooked Place (Into the Crooked Place #1) by Alexandra Christo (ARC)

43245862

Mother Gothel: A Book With A Power Hungry Character

What I Planned: Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron (ARC)

Alright, so there may be more failures than successes, but at least I know why: I suck at TBRs.

I am the epitome of a mood reader. TBRs scare me and I can never stick to them. However, I did plan for that. The reason I chose Team Tangled is not solely because I love Tangled (even though I really, really do), but also because of it’s unique abilities. Those on Team Tangled didn’t have to go about the islands in order, and can complete any challenge from any team whenever they want.

So while I failed at the Team Tangled challenges, I did well with some of the other teams.

And there it is! Every book I read for the Disney-A-Thon this August!

While I may not have finished my set Team Tangled TBR, I’m still pretty proud of all the reading I did.

Plus I earned 185 points, which is pretty nice.

(Yes, I know I’m very competitive)

My question is: did I fail because I didn’t finish my Team Tangled TBR, or did I not fail because I still read 10 books? Let me know what you think because I’m confused.
