The Various Covers of Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead – Cover Change Corner

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
US Paperback (2007) vs. US Paperback (2013)
Movie Tie-In Edition vs. 10th Anniversary Edition

This series is so much better than all of its covers combined (However I do like the 10th Anniversary edition). It has gone through so many cover changes, and honestly, I just want this epic series to have the covers it deserves.

The original covers are a little cringey, but kinda the classic YA paranormal type. They did rebrand them in 2013, but they didn’t improve it much. They took the previous cover, and threw an overlay on top with some letters. As for the movie tie-in, it isn’t awful. I’m never a fan on movie tie-in editions because I just don’t like people on covers, but by having a cohesive color scheme and really making the title pop with the bright pink, it felt a little more unique and original. The 10th Anniversary edition is definitely my favorite, with a simple color scheme and a faded rose on the cover. Simple, cute, and slightly ominous, which fits the series pretty well.

Have you read this series? Which cover do you prefer?

Also, what cover changes do you want me to talk about next?
