I read 10 books this month, including only 1 from my September TBR! This month I was a lot more motivated to read in comparison to the Great Slump of August 2018. It took a while for me to get motivated, but I did and I’m so happy!

1. Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco || 4/5 Stars
I’ve been blown away by this series. I love how dark it is, plus how funny and adorable it can be (#Cressworth). This one felt a lot slower than the first, and was a little hard to get through at times because I was really craving something quicker, but I still adore it.
2. Love Scene, Take Two by Alex Evansley || 4.5/5 Stars
This was a fun book that really helped nudge me out of my slump. It was lighthearted and fast, but just what I needed to start reading more. I’ve had some mixed luck with Swoon Reads lately (which really sucks because I usually love them!) and this book reminded me how good their releases can be.
3. Josh & Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren || 5/5 Stars
Read. This. Book. If you want a cute contemporary romance, pick this one up! This book taught me to never start a book right before bed just to read a few pages, because before I knew it, it was 1:30 in the morning and I finished the last page.
4. Escaping From Houdini (ARC; 9/18) by Kerri Maniscalco ||4.5/5 Stars
I’m so glad I was able to just marathon through this series over the course of a few weeks, and I hate now having to wait for the next book! There was definitely some parts of this book that I didn’t like (*cough* love triangle *cough*), but the faster pace and, of course, Thomas Cresswell, made this book so amazing.
5. In Another Time by Caroline Leech || 3.5/5 Stars
This was a cute read. I loved Caroline Leech’s previous historical YA, and while this one wasn’t quite as good, I still enjoyed it and will keep reading her work!
6. The Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas || 3/5 Stars
I decided to jump back into a romance novel, something I haven’t done in a while, and I enjoyed it. I saw a lot of people hype this one up, and while it was fun, there were a lot of things I had problems with (mainly the hero’s past and his character). I’ll probably give this author another shot, but this book was just okay for me.
7. As She Ascends by Jodi Meadows || 4.3/5 Stars
This book was so entertaining. I enjoyed the first one but thought it was a little slow, but this one was absolutely fantastic! I can’t wait to see what happens in book three!
8. What If It’s Us (ARC; 10/9) by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera || 5/5 Stars
My full review will be posted closer to the release date, on Saturday 10/6. I absolutely loved this book, from the relatable and hilarious writing to the constant musical references. I couldn’t put it down!
9. The Darkest Star (ARC; 10/30) by Jennifer L. Armentrout || 4/5 Stars
Another ARC! I feel so productive! I will be posting a full review closer to the release date, and I’m thinking it will be that Saturday, 10/27.
10. Daimon by Jennifer L. Armentrout || 4/5 Stars
I’ve been wanting to read this novella for almost threw years and I kept putting it off! I’m so glad I got to it this month!
