Dragon Book Recommendations

Dragons are amazing and no one can argue with me on that. Here are a few of my favorite dragon reads, as well as a couple of other popular ones!

Eragon by Christopher Paolini

I personally haven’t read this yet, but I know if I didn’t include it someone would hunt me down. This is a classic YA Dragon adventure!

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

Yes, another book I haven’t read, but again, I knew I would be attacked if I didn’t include it. Seraphina takes place in a medieval world where dragons can have human bodies and are highly intelligent.

The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli

Asha is the most feared dragon slayer in her kingdom, and when she is offered the chance to avoid a cruel marriage in return for bringing back the head of the most powerful dragon, of course, she agrees. The dragons in this book are absolutely amazing, and the writing style is gorgeous!

The Shadow Queen by C. J. Redwine

A dark retelling of Snow White, The Shadow Queen follows Lorelai who is determined to kill the evil queen who has taken her throne and killed her father. Meanwhile, Prince Kol from the neighboring kingdom will do anything to save his people, including becoming the queen’s huntsman, and promising to bring her Lorelai’s heart. Also, he just so happens to be part dragon.

Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows

Mira is known as the hopebearer, but she isn’t as perfect as everyone believes her to be. She has crippling anxiety, counts compulsively, and loves dragons too much. When she uncovers a dangerous secret, she’s thrown in a deadly prison, where a cruel guard will do anything to find out what she knows.

What are some of your favorite dragon books?
