I read 13 books this month, including 4 from my July TBR!

1. The Emerald Sea by Richelle Mead || 4.5/5 Stars
I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. I had liked the previous books, but they weren’t really as memorable and fun as this one. Maybe it was because I was in just the right mood for it, but I couldn’t put this book down!
2. Kiss of the Royal by Lindsey Duga || 3/5 Stars
Nothing about this book stood out to me. It was kinda just a typical fantasy romance adventure, and after having so much fun with The Emerald Sea, I just found this read really disappointing.
3. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken || 4.7/5 Stars
This. Series. Is. Amazing. I’ve owned these books for years and kept putting off starting them, and with the movie coming out I knew I had to. I’m so glad I did. I absolutely fell in love with this world and these characters. While the first book was probably the weakest for me (it just took me too long to get into it), I was still absolutely blown away.
4. Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken || 5/5 Stars
Never Fade will never fade from my mind. This book broke my heart. I’m so used to second books being kinda mediocre, just filler to set up the finale, but damn this one was good.
5. Liam’s Story by Alexandra Bracken || 5/5 Stars
This was definitely a fun novella/short story (I’m not sure what this technically is). I loved the look into Liam’s mind, and it was such a quick read that really there was no way it could go wrong.
6. In Time by Alexandra Bracken || 5/5 Stars
Before reading this series, I really couldn’t care less about novellas. I would always read them, but more because I had to than because I really wanted to. But this novella. It changed my mind completely. I was completely broken by this story and I’m so glad for it.
7. Sparks Rise by Alexandra Bracken || 5/5 Stars
Alexandra Bracken exists just to hurt me. That’s what I’ve decided. This novella hurt almost as bad as In Time.
8. In The Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken || 5/5 Stars
I loved this conclusion! It was just so fun and perfect and heartbreaking and funny and cute and thrilling! This entire series is just too good.
9. Beyond the Night by Alexandra Bracken || 4.7/5 Stars
I didn’t quite love this novella as much as the others, but I still really enjoyed it. I loved seeing all of the characters again and getting a glimpse into the world we’ll be jumping into in The Darkest Legacy!
10. All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover || 4/5 Stars
Man, this one hurt. This is by far the most depressing Colleen Hoover book’s I’ve ever read. It just crushed me.
11. The Supervillain and Me by Danielle Banas || 2.5/5 Stars
So after getting my heart stepped on by Colleen Hoover, I needed something light. And this book was definitely light. However, it just wasn’t that good.
12. The Brink of Darkness by Jeff Giles || 3.5/5 Stars
For some reason, this book didn’t really impact me as much as the first one, The Edge of Everything (which was a 5-star book for me), but I still really enjoyed it.
13. A Touch of Gold (ARC) by Annie Sullivan || 4/5 Stars
I really enjoyed this book, it was definitely a fun adventure! I’ve decided I need more books based on Greek myths, thank you.
